Take 5 Oil Change in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager who is career-minded, enjoys people, and will help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor.

You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, training, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience; you may step in as Manager on Duty. No automotive experience required, paid training provided, and clear paths to leadership through strong performance.

Qualifications

• 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• 6 months' experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.
• Ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and safety.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily inventory counts.
