Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager at our Salina, KS location to support the Truck Services Manager in daily operations. You will supervise technicians, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will monitor workflows, assist with troubleshooting and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, manage inventory, and help meet financial goals. A valid driver’s license and flexibility for varied hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in management preferred.
• 3+ years in truck service or automotive environment, supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellence in customer service.
• Monitor workflow and provide support in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained properly and all safety standards are followed.
• Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring services are performed timely and accurately.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and provide solutions promptly.
• Help in achieving financial goals by monitoring expenses and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
• Perform the duties of the Truck Services Manager in their absence.

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Truck Services Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Truck Shop.
