Job summary

LV Petroleum in McComb, MS is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for the Truck Services shop. You will support the Truck Services Manager, oversee daily operations, supervise technicians, and ensure top-quality service and safety standards.

This role requires leadership, clear communication, and hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks. You will manage workflow, training, inventory, and customer interactions while helping drive efficiency and align with financial goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a management degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a truck service or automotive environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in P&L awareness and financial performance metrics.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork and customer service excellence.
• Monitor workflow and support troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Truck Services Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Truck Shop. Your responsibilities will include supervising our talented team of technicians, ensuring exemplary customer service, and maintaining operational standards that align with our company’s goals.
