LV Petroleum LLC in Glade Spring, VA seeks an Assistant Shop Manager for our Truck Services department. You will assist the Truck Services Manager in daily shop operations and supervise technicians to ensure excellent customer service and high standards.

You will help manage workflow, safety, inventory, and service quality while supporting revenue growth and cost control. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in a truck service or automotive environment, supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficient with service tracking and inventory management software.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellence in customer service.
• Monitor workflow and support troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and safety standards are followed.
• Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring timely service delivery.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and provide solutions promptly.
• Support revenue growth initiatives and monitor expenses to aid financial goals.
• Perform Truck Services Manager duties in their absence.

Our Truck Services division is dedicated to providing high-quality service and support to our customers, ensuring they're back on the road quickly and efficiently.

Position Overview: As the Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Truck Services Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Truck Shop. Your responsibilities will include supervising our talented team of technicians, ensuring exemplary customer service, and maintaining operational standards that align with our company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Supervise and train staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence in customer service

• Perform the duties of the Truck Services Manager in their absence

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in management or a related field is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a truck service or automotive environment, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of financial performance metrics, including P&L management
• Proficient in the use of computer systems and software applicable to service tracking and inventory management
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A valid driver's license is required
