Job summary

LV Petroleum LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for our Truck Services division. You will support the Truck Services Manager in daily operations, supervise technicians, ensure service quality, and uphold safety standards to keep customers on the road.

This role requires solid leadership, hands-on problem solving, and strong communication with customers and staff. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a degree in management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in truck service or automotive environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial performance metrics, including P&L management.
• Proficient in computer systems and software applicable to service tracking and inventory management.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all services are performed timely and accurately.
• Engage with customers to address concerns and provide solutions promptly.
• Help in achieving financial goals by monitoring expenses and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
• Perform the duties of the Truck Services Manager in their absence.
