Job summary

Morgan Properties in Kent, OH is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to maintain the physical aspects of Dartmouth Place to company standards and applicable laws. This full-time role requires a “Whatever It Takes” approach and hands-on leadership.

You will supervise a maintenance team, coordinate on-call schedules, oversee preventive maintenance, manage inventory and inspect buildings, including vacant units. The position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active and valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
• One-year certificate, 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
• Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
• Establish and manage a 24-hour on-call schedule for the team and be available for emergencies.
• Manage and organize inventory of maintenance materials.
• Establish on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready and work order schedules for the team.
• Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
