Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to support the maintenance operation at a 606-unit community in Silver Spring, MD. You''ll coach a team, handle schedules, and act as the go-to expert for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.

The role offers a schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, on-call pay, rent discounts, and growth opportunities with a large multifamily company.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related maintenance experience, or a 1-year certificate plus experience.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification (preferred).
• Valid driver''s license and a personal vehicle.
• A ''whatever it takes'' attitude and a passion for developing people.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a maintenance team.
• Be the go-to expert for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior, and appliance repair.
• Build the on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready, and work order schedules.
• Manage maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Inspect buildings and vacant units to keep standards high and the community compliant.
• Partner with the Service Manager on priorities and projects.
• Step up when emergencies hit, like snow, ice, or urgent on-site issues.

Education

HVAC/EPA/CFC certification (preferred)

Your Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• Paid rotating on-call (you'll build the team's schedule, and you're paid for it)
