Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to lead and coach a maintenance team at a large multifamily community in Silver Spring, MD. You’ll become the on-site expert for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, guiding priorities and projects with the Service Manager.

The role emphasizes people development, safety, and operational leadership, with a Monday–Friday schedule, on-call rotation, and facility-wide upkeep responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of maintenance or property management experience.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Lead, train, and mentor a maintenance team.
• Be the go-to expert for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior, and appliance repair.
• Build the on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready, and work order schedules.
• Manage maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Inspect buildings and vacant units to keep standards high and the community compliant.
• Partner with the Service Manager on priorities and projects.
• Step up when emergencies hit, like snow, ice, or urgent on-site issues.

Your Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• Paid rotating on-call (you'll build the team's schedule, and you're paid for it)
• Schedule may flex with business needs

What You Bring

• 2-4 years of related experience, or a one-year certificate plus experience
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification (preferred)
