Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to support our 504-unit community’s maintenance operation in Florida. The role offers base pay of $26.00-$28.00 per hour, plus benefits like rent discounts and a quarterly allowance, with on-site schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm and paid on-call duties.

You will lead a maintenance team, oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other repairs, and coordinate preventive maintenance, inventory, and work orders.

Qualifications

• Lead, train, and mentor a maintenance team.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior, and appliance repair expertise.
• Build the on-call, preventive maintenance, make-ready, and work order schedules.
• Manage maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Inspect buildings and vacant units to keep standards high and the community compliant.
• Partner with the Service Manager on priorities and projects.
• Step up when emergencies hit, like snow, ice, or urgent on-site issues.

Your Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• Paid rotating on-call (you'll build the team's schedule, and you're paid for it)

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
• 2-4 years of related experience, or a one-year certificate plus experience
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification (preferred)
• A "whatever it takes" attitude and a passion for developing people
