Bastion Hospitality LLC is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Server to join our team in Miami. This role assists the server, helps maintain a clean dining room and server station, and supports all aspects of the guest dining experience.

You will work with the service and kitchen teams, focusing on attentive, friendly service and a casual dining atmosphere. Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in restaurants or similar establishments.
• Must be organized, motivated and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Food Handlers Safety Certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Lift up to 30 pounds; stand up to 10 hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Server to join our exceptional team of service leaders. This role works under the direction of the server to help create the guest’s overall dining experience by providing prompt, attentive table service.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist the Server and will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room and the server station during the service.
• Support all aspects of the guests’ dining experience and will be in constant communication with service and kitchen team.
• Works with a strong attention to detail and follows the activities of their service team and manager to ensure a friendly and casual dining experience.

Your Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in restaurants, or establishments of similar caliber.
• You must be organized, motivating, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Food Handlers Safety Certificate Preferred
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the restaurant in a timely basis.
• Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
