Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. in Carlstadt, NJ seeks an Assistant Sales Manager to lead the sales staff across assigned accounts, drive aggressive goals, develop new business, and coordinate promotions with branch staff and customers.

The role requires bilingual ability in Chinese or Korean, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of sales strategies, forecasting, and account management. Collaborate with Sales HQ to meet targets and grow market share.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and developing key accounts.
• Strong knowledge of sales strategies and product promotion.
• Bilingual in Chinese or Korean is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in establishing future growth potential for new business.
• Evaluate territory performance against objectives and take action to improve performance.
• Responsible for managing and developing key accounts.
• Review product expiration and create promotions to sell near-expired items.
• Prepare periodic reports showing sales volume and status of pursuits.
• Recommend growth initiatives to Sales HQ (acquisitions, new markets).
• Develop territory plans defining support and contact frequency.
• Independently seek sales opportunities and provide service to customers in assigned areas.
• Support pricing studies and respond to productivity requests.
• Monitor purchasing to control inventory.
• Plan training and training attendance to enhance product knowledge.
• Monitor sales staff schedules to ensure customer meetings.
• Conduct evaluations of sales staff.
• Communicate new product opportunities and gather feedback from field staff.
• Coordinate with accounting on collections.
