At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality vehicle services, including inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing ASE Certifications and automotive repair experience.

We seek Automotive Service Assistant Managers to assist in managing and directing service department activities in a retail store selling tires and automotive parts and services. This role is developmental, aimed at training and promoting internal talent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment.
• Act as liaison between managers, customers, and employees.
• Fill in for the Manager during absences, make decisions, and hold meetings.
• Support team learning and development.
• Establish strategic goals based on reports.
• Define objectives, evaluate trends, and decide on actions.
• Lead by example, manage, and train staff aligned with company values.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and consult with customers.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and prepare repair orders.
• Discuss pricing and promote shop specials and financing.
• Monitor vehicle quality and supervise up to 10 employees.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of store or service assistant manager experience.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Leadership and team-building abilities.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred qualities include attention to detail, reliability, mechanical knowledge, leadership, and excellent communication skills.
