Role Overview
As the Assistant Sales Development Manager, you will support the Sales Development Manager in managing client relationships to achieve objectives related to assortment, merchandising, pricing, and promotion, leading to increased market share, volume, and profitability. You will also support category growth by handling analytical, trade planning, promotional scheduling, and administrative tasks.

What You Will Do
  1. Develop realistic objectives and strategies for building client business, including short- and long-term marketing plans.
  2. Manage clients' proprietary trade funds management system, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all trade expenditures.
  3. Monitor spending rates to ensure promotional plans stay within approved budgets.
  4. Keep current with product category trends by analyzing market data, promotional activity, and consumer behaviors.
  5. Communicate client priorities to the Retail Sales Organization to meet in-store presence and business objectives.
  6. Coordinate with the Customer Service Team to follow order procedures and resolve trade deductions and credit issues.
  7. Maintain records and review performance against objectives.
  8. Create and deliver professional presentations to clients and customers.
  9. Work collaboratively with team members, train subordinates, and adhere to the company's code of conduct.
Position Details
  • This is a hybrid position based in the Tampa/Orlando area.
  • Work from home part of the week, with travel to retail locations as needed.
  • Attend team meetings at various locations.

Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree, or four to ten years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills across various formats and audiences.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic and financial calculations relevant to sales and marketing.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must reside in the Tampa/Orlando area and be willing to travel locally.
