Job summary

North American Roofing is seeking an Assistant Service Repair Technician for the greater Tampa/Central Florida area. You will support the Service department with investigating and repairing various roof types, working closely with a Lead Service Technician to ensure high-quality solutions for clients.

The role involves learning roof systems, locating leaks, performing repairs in all weather, and operating service software (FCS).

Qualifications

• Roofing knowledge and experience preferred.
• Construction experience and/or working with hand tools.
• Able to obtain OSHA certification.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Work outside in all elements and conditions.

We are actively searching for an Assistant Service Repair Technician to join our service team in the greater Tampa/Central Florida area.

In this role, you'll provide support to the Service department by investigating and repairing a variety of roof types. You'll work closely with a Lead Service Technician in your assigned demographic region to help deliver quality solutions to our clients.

Job Duties:

• Work with Lead Service Technician to investigate and repair all types of low-slope commercial roofs
• Work to develop skill of determining leak location and common leak issues by Roof System Type
• Demonstrate safe working environment
• Develop advanced knowledge of all roof systems and roof system components
• Assisting in all snow and hurricane events to either participate in repairs or supervision
• Meet schedule and requirements of Clients
• Perform quality repairs with no callbacks due to workmanship
• Demonstrate understanding of warranty and non-warranty repair types
• Responsible for learning and operating service software (FCS)
• Assist to collect data for proposed scopes of work

Skills and Qualifications:

• Roofing knowledge and experience preferred
• Preferred experience in construction and/or working with hand tools
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification
• Must be able to climb a ladder; position may require lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Ability to operate tablet and smartphone
• Weekend and/or overnight travel may be required
• Must pass be able to complete and pass pre-employment drug screening
