Job summary

North American Roofing Services LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Service Repair Technician to support our service team. You will assist Lead Service Technician to diagnose and repair low-slope roofs, learn roof systems, and help ensure projects meet client schedules and safety standards.

This role requires outdoor work in all weather, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Roofing knowledge and experience preferred.
• Preferred experience in construction and/or working with hand tools.
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification.
• Must be able to climb a ladder; lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Ability to operate tablet and smartphone.
• Weekend and/or overnight travel may be required.
• Must pass be able to complete and pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Service Technician to investigate and repair all types of low-slope commercial roofs.
• Develop skill of determining leak location and common leak issues by Roof System Type.
• Demonstrate safe working environment.
• Develop advanced knowledge of all roof systems and roof system components.
• Assisting in all snow and hurricane events to either participate in repairs or supervision.
• Meet schedule and requirements of Clients.
• Perform quality repairs with no callbacks due to workmanship.
• Demonstrate understanding of warranty and non-warranty repair types.
• Responsible for learning and operating service software (FCS).
• Assist to collect data for proposed scopes of work.

We are actively searching for an Assistant Service Repair Technician to join our service team in the Charlotte area.
