Job summary

Rackson in New Haven, CT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee shift operations, support the management team, and uphold brand standards for service, food quality, and safety.

You will lead a team, manage guest satisfaction, and optimize labor and cash handling while driving profitability across the restaurant. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent restaurant management experience.
• English communication required; Spanish comprehension helpful.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage performance metrics, product specifications, and management systems.
• Proficient in food preparation, production, and delivery; knowledge of food safety procedures.
• Strong leadership skills; able to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion and involve the right stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations and work multiple stations.
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work and company events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations to ensure smooth store functioning and guest service.
• Support the Management Team in staff management and financial performance.
• Enforce brand standards for service, food quality, and safety.
• Plan and execute shift operations with cost-control guidelines.
• Lead and develop talent, fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and safety procedures.
• Coordinate staffing, inventory, and administrative duties.
• Identify trends and implement improvement plans for long-term sales growth.
• Train Team Members and maintain safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
