Job summary

Penn Entertainment’s Ameristar Casino Resort Spa location is seeking a capable restaurant supervisor to support daily dining room operations and guest service excellence. You will help manage staff, greet guests, and ensure adherence to company standards while acting as Manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree preferred, 3 years of food experience, 1 year of supervisory experience, strong customer service, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of food experience.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Extraordinary customer service skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Comprehensive food knowledge, including Profit and Loss statements, cost control, training, inventory control and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in controlling labor costs for the restaurant.
• Assign stations and job duties.
• Greets and seats guests and ensures proper service.
• Assist in training employees.
• Maintain open communication between all dining room staff.
• Acting Manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
• Understand and demonstrate Management’s point of view.
• Ensure employee safety.
• Maintain cleanliness of side stations, tableware, floors, and condiments.
• Encourage teamwork in the department.
• Coach and counsel those not meeting standards.
• Treat everyone with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition.
• Provide guest interactions and ensure knowledge of Penn Entertainment standards.
