Job summary

SSP America, operating at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to work with the General Manager and lead a team of Food Travel Experts at Anna Maria Oyster Bar. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of service and food quality, and provide hands‑on leadership in a fast‑paced airport setting.

You will hire, train, and mentor staff, manage inventory and costs, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and food sanitation regulations (HACCP/ServSafe).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily restaurant operations from opening to closing.
• Hire, train, schedule and mentor team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and product quality/presentation.
• Manage cash handling and reconcile per company policy.
• Provide coaching and address performance issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff and respond to guest feedback.
