Job description

Join our team at Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar, a modern American restaurant and bar located in the Hershey Press Building, where you will utilize scratch methods by using real, whole ingredients to create dishes in our open kitchen.

This position is responsible for assisting with the management and administration of food and beverage activities for Houlihan’s.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions):

  1. Monitor restaurant processes and procedures to ensure adherence to brand standards and quality service. Enforce brand standards throughout the service process to ensure a consistent customer experience. Ensure full compliance with food safety and alcohol service guidelines.*
  2. Analyze the flow of customers and evaluate service and food preparation to identify issues impacting customer satisfaction. Resolve issues as needed.*
  3. Provide leadership and direction during shifts. Resolve customer issues and maintain a floor presence to ensure adherence to hospitality standards.*
  4. Plan and assign daily goals, tasks, and assignments. Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet goals.*
  5. Hire, train, and motivate staff; ensure staff are knowledgeable about current offerings and promotions to maximize sales.*
  6. Develop and implement daily promotions and programs to attract customers and increase sales. Monitor sales data and create initiatives to fill gaps.*
  7. Create staff schedules and adjust as needed to adhere to the labor budget. Monitor workload and deploy staff effectively to meet demand.*
  8. Collaborate between Front of the House and Back of the House to ensure exceptional service for all guests.*
  9. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks such as record keeping, audits, sales reports, and inventories. Provide information to management as requested.*
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Food & Beverage industry.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Post-Employment certifications: RAMP, ServSafe.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Proficient in working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods.
