Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Salary: $16.25 - $19.25 per hour

Job Description

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) oversees all restaurant activities during their shift, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest service, and adherence to company standards. They support the management team in staff management and financial performance, playing a pivotal role in policy implementation, safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment. As the GM's right hand, they assist in decision-making, training, and maintaining overall restaurant efficiency and profitability. The AGM also supports in executing limited GM duties as needed.

Essential Functions

• Understands the impact of responsibilities on Guests, Team, and Restaurant Operations.
• Ensures adherence to brand standards for service, food quality, and safety.

• Maintains cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards to uphold brand image.
• Plans and executes shift operations efficiently, following company guidelines for cost control.

• Ensures compliance with labor laws.
• Coordinates restaurant operations, including staffing and inventory management, and completes administrative duties.

• Supports business success hands-on, including food prep, guest service, and store maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Success

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or restaurant management experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish helpful. Basic reading, writing, math, and computer/POS skills required.
• Previous fast food management experience required.
• Knowledge of food & beverage metrics, product specs, and management systems.
• Strong leadership skills, calmness under pressure, and professionalism.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Willingness to learn all restaurant operations and work multiple stations.
• Positive attitude and genuine desire to serve others.
• Respectful and caring treatment of others.
• Effective verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or English.
• Self-motivated and action-oriented.
• Open to learning, accountable, and dependable, with reliable transportation.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks associated with restaurant work.
