Job summary

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations with a focus on hospitality, quality, and team development. You will work with the General Manager to drive sales, coach staff, manage labor and inventory, and ensure excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The role emphasizes coaching, data-informed decisions from financials and reports, and hands-on leadership on the restaurant floor.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a shift lead or manager in a full-service, casual dining or quick-service restaurant.
• Experience reading financial statements, sales or activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement.
• Proficiency with desktop software and spreadsheets; experience with labor management and P&Ls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Freddy’s standards of Hospitality, Quality and Cleanliness and teach them to the team.
• Lead by example, be vocal and prepared, and demonstrate strong time-management skills.
• Show willingness to learn and accept coaching and constructive criticism.
• Practice situational management and correct operational mistakes with guest satisfaction as the goal.
• Spend most time on the restaurant floor, maintaining urgency and intensity.
• Assess team performance, coach and develop team members and build a positive culture.
• Control labor and food costs, reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
• Build relationships with guests and handle guest issues with a hospitality-first mindset.
• Manage vendor relationships, product ordering and inventory appropriate to sales volume.
• Utilize management tools such as spreadsheets, schedules, financial reports (P&L), pars and inventory levels to drive profitability and growth.
• Hire, train and motivate staff, coordinate schedules and perform performance analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
