The Pennsylvania State University College of Engineering is seeking candidates for an Assistant Research Professor position within the Engineering Science and Mechanics Department. The role involves developing ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation and elastic wave modeling and simulation tools to understand ultrasound and elastic wave interactions with material heterogeneities. The research aims to impact acoustics, ultrasonics, nondestructive evaluation, and seismology.
The candidate will collaborate with faculty and students, disseminate research findings, and communicate with relevant communities to adapt modeling features. They should be willing to work with and train undergraduate and graduate students, assist in reporting to sponsors, and collaborate on proposals for external funding.
