Job description

Responsibilities
  • Operations
    • Implement and manage processes and communications related to the academic calendar, including all beginning‑ and end‑of‑term processes.
    • Develop and implement an operations schedule that aligns with semester timelines.
    • Communicate with the Registrar and other campus personnel regarding grading, registration, data transfer with the National Student Clearinghouse, and all other term operations.
  • Technology
    • Serve as the primary technology expert for Workday, Banner, Degree Works, and related systems.
    • Provide support, training, and security maintenance for these systems.
    • Act as a liaison with the Information Technology department for ongoing support, maintenance, and projects.
    • Serve as a resource for on‑campus constituents regarding reports and data gathering.
  • Project Management
    • Provide systems analysis and design for academic technology issues.
    • Implement new processes as technologies become available.
    • Stay informed on new features in current and emerging technologies.
  • Leadership
    • Manage day‑to‑day operations, including transcript and certification of enrollment fulfillment, student records management, and front‑desk customer service.
    • Provide oversight for office staff members and direct supervision of student employees.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Master’s degree strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
    • Prior experience in an academic office or knowledge of academic records strongly preferred.
    • Experience with the Workday Student system and Ellucian Banner system preferred.
    • Experience in supervising employees.
    • Technical skills and understanding of database management required.
    • Experience handling challenging conversations with students, parents, and faculty.
