Job summary

Miller Milling Co is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager in Saginaw, TX to help implement and maintain food safety, quality, and sanitation programs. You will support laboratory activities, assist in compliance audits, and help develop location-specific quality policies.

The role requires collaboration with the Quality department to meet internal and external customer expectations. The position emphasizes laboratory analysis, calibration, data quality control, and training support for the QA

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• HACCP and PCQI certification recommended or provided.
• Working knowledge of major commercial software programs.

Responsibilities

• Support all activities in the laboratory and perform lab analysis as needed.
• Support FDA compliance around GMPs, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), Food Defense.
• Assist audits for customer, 3rd party, and company compliance.
• Quality data control: investigate and rectify discrepancies.
• Ensure laboratory standards per protocols and validate instrument operation.
• Maintain instrument calibration records and results.
• Assist in writing customer specifications during each crop year.
• Assist with company training programs.
• Develop location-specific quality policies and programs.
• Provide relief coverage for Quality Manager and other locations.
