Job summary

Lakeside Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager to support the QA Manager in food safety, sanitation, and quality control compliance. You will coach QA staff, review records, and assist with audits and regulatory programs.

The role involves supervising QA personnel, maintaining quality systems, and ensuring customer specifications are met across the facility. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience required.
• 1–3 years of direct supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, bacteriology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coach, and counsel QA personnel on daily/weekly tasks.
• Manage held product, storage conditions, labeling, packaging, and shipping quality.
• Assist with SQF/BRC code requirements and audits/inspections.
• Maintain Lakeside’s Quality Systems Manual and records.
• Investigate customer complaints and ensure timely responses.
• Ensure all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards are followed.
