Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to direct day-to-day QA activities, ensure compliance with quality specs and regulatory requirements, and lead the shift QA team. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Food Science or related field, 3–5 years in a food manufacturing QA function with supervision or training experience, and strong HACCP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing QA function, including supervision and training.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, quality systems, and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day QA functions on the shift, including training and directing work; assess performance and resolve issues.
• Reviews HACCP and production documentation for final release of finished products; monitor QA line audits and issue COAs as needed.
• Investigates customer complaints and quality issues with QA Manager; develops corrective actions and holds as needed.
• Implements disposition of nonconforming products and guides rework or disposal with proper communications.
• Collaborates with management to develop quality improvements and trains staff on new policies and procedures.
• Reviews incoming ingredients and packaging against specifications and COAs prior to use; monitors micro and sanitation results and initiates corrective actions.
• Participates in third-party audits and facility follow-up with production management.
