Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking an Assistant Provost for Undergraduate Education to lead high-impact initiatives across the Division of Undergraduate Education. The role will guide strategic planning, cross-functional projects, and assessment to strengthen undergraduate learning and student success.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs, represent the division in university committees, and drive transformational change

Qualifications

• Ph.D., Ed.D, or equivalent terminal degree with five (5) years of full-time admin experience in student success or academic advising (or Master's with eight (8) years).
• Demonstrated ability to use data to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
• Experience managing organizational change and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for high-impact initiatives within the Division of Undergraduate Education.
• Lead planning, implementation, and assessment of cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs to improve undergraduate outcomes and student experience.
• Represent the division on university committees and strategic initiatives.
• Manage and mentor unit directors, oversee budgets, and pursue external funding opportunities.
