Job summary

Capital Square Living seeks an Assistant Service Manager to oversee maintenance and ensure our Williamsburg community meets high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will supervise routine tasks and assist with vendor coordination and inspections.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, make-ready processes for leasing, and a proactive approach to resident service and property upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• Must provide own hand tools and operate them safely.
• Strong problem solving and numerical ability.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic office equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager by delegating and completing work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing, inspect spaces, schedule vendors, and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support with pressure washing, curb and signage maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Inspect work by contractors to ensure quality and report discrepancies.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies; support budget adherence.
