Job summary

Hirewell is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily community in Chicago. You will work with the Property Manager to maximize occupancy, keep financial records accurate, and ensure resident satisfaction through proactive service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years in multifamily property management, leasing, or customer service.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager with daily operations of the community.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Support leasing efforts, conduct tours, and follow up with prospects.
  • Process lease applications, renewals, and move-in/move-out docs.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, deposits, and invoices.
  • Monitor delinquency reports and assist with collections.
  • Prepare reports on occupancy, leasing activity, and retention.
