Bilingual Spanish Assistant Property Manager - North Austin

Property Type: Market Rate (under 250 units)

Employment Duration: Regular, Full-time

A Day in the Life of an Assistant Property Manager at TI Communities

You step into the office with a sense of rhythm and purpose. Before the phones start ringing, you check yesterday’s collections, glance over your move-in list, and pull up the leasing dashboard. You know the numbers, but more importantly, you know the people behind them.

By mid-morning, you're on the phone with a resident following up on a payment question. You speak with clarity, empathy, and firmness because you know how to support residents while protecting the health of the property. Minutes later, you’re helping a new prospect complete their application, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth move-in experience. You’re the calm in the storm, the bridge between leasing and operations.

At noon, the Property Manager loops you into a quick walk-through of a vacant unit. You note what still needs to be done and follow up with the maintenance team. You’ve got a checklist, but you also have the intuition to spot what’s missing—and the initiative to fix it.

In the afternoon, you’re reviewing renewal notices and auditing a few recent leasing files. You find one missing a signature and follow up right away. Later, you assist with a resident's concern at the front desk, listening first, documenting carefully, and resolving fairly. You understand that great property management is a mix of policy and heart.

Before you leave for the day, you run one last report, send out a few email reminders, and check in with the Leasing Consultant about tomorrow’s tours. You're not just helping run the property, you are shaping the community.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Supporting daily operations, resident services, and leasing activity
  • Managing rent collection and reducing delinquency through follow-ups and payment arrangements
  • Assisting with lease audits, move-ins, and renewal efforts
  • Answering resident questions and helping resolve concerns with professionalism and care
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and resident files
  • Supporting the Property Manager in their absence and serving as a resource to the onsite team
  • Assisting with inspections, make-ready coordination, and vendor scheduling
  • Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and TI Communities' policies
  • Collaborating with the leasing and maintenance teams to achieve occupancy and service goals

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2 to 3 years of property management, leasing, or administrative experience
  • Knowledge of resident relations, collections, and Fair Housing compliance
  • Strong communication, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to balance tasks and pivot throughout a fast-paced day
  • Confidence with technology and property management systems (Entrata a plus)
  • A customer-first mindset and a team-player attitude
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off + company-paid holidays
  • A mission-focused culture where your work truly matters

If you’re ready to grow your career, support a thriving community, and be the go-to person to a high-performing property team, this role is for you!
