Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily community. This role supports the Property Manager in daily financial, operational, and administrative tasks to ensure resident satisfaction and smooth property operations.

The position involves rent collection, leasing support, and coordination with the maintenance team while ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing laws. On-site supervision may be required in the Property Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of multifamily property management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Knowledge of GL postings and financial reconciliations (SODA).
• Customer-service oriented with professional resident interaction.

Responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; manage delinquencies.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile bank accounts.
• Process accounts payable and vendor invoices with proper coding.
• Assist with month-end close-out and general ledger postings.
• Support leasing efforts including showing units and processing applications.
• Coordinate with maintenance for timely unit turns and service requests.
• Act as on-site supervisor in absence of Property Manager.
• Provide training and supervision to property staff.
• Maintain communication with ownership and provide performance updates.
