Job summary

Odin Management LLC in Detroit is seeking an Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Professional to support on-site operations, including leasing, maintenance, and marketing of our apartment community.

You will work with the Property Manager on financial performance, handle leasing and occupancy, ensure rent collection, data entry in Yardi, and coordinate maintenance and tenant relations to deliver a high-quality resident experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years minimum experience
• Multi‑unit apartment leasing with market rate, vouchers, and subsidies helpful
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a self‑starter who can work independently or in a small team
• Proactive, detail‑oriented with a commitment to high‑quality work
• Excellent record keeping and file maintenance
• Able to prioritize workloads and oversee multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Property Manager on financial performance of assigned community
• Leasing / occupancy and retention performance
• Ensure all rent is collected as due and posted correctly
• Ensure all unit, move-in/move-out and other leasing data is entered correctly into the on-site property management software system
• Walk vacant units and property grounds
• Manage and distribute tenant correspondence electronically, including late payment notices
• Manage all maintenance requests and ordering of supplies with maintenance staff
• Marketing, schedule appointments, and showing available units
• Ability to create Facebook Marketplace account for leasing
• Community and resident relations
