Job summary

TLC Management LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations of a residential community. You will help with occupancy, maintenance, marketing, retention, and resident ledgers while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in residential property management, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager in residential property management.
• Proactive, organized and detail-oriented with strong customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with a team to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing occupancy, appearance and maintenance goals.
• Assist with marketing, inquiries and show conversions.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements accurately.
• Walk apartments to ensure move-in readiness and report issues.
• Support retention with professional resident service and follow-up calls.
• Host resident appreciation events and manage rent collection and ledgers.
• Coordinate maintenance service requests and site walkthroughs.
• Oversee move-outs and train leasing staff when needed.
• Attend trainings and complete courses as assigned.
