Job summary

Mercy Housing in Bellingham is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to work alongside the Property Manager in day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community. The role emphasizes HUD/Tax Credit compliance, resident service excellence, and coordination with front desk and maintenance teams to engage residents.

This on-site position at Evergreen Ridge offers part-time hours (32/week) with full benefits, a pay range of $25.00–$27.00 per hour based on experience, and comprehensive employee

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle with valid license and insurance.
• One year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws is preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate property management applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enters data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assists with resident records documentation.
• Collects rent and other income, makes bank deposits, and forwards receipts.
• Assists with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
• Responds to customer service requests.
• May work outside normal business hours to respond to property needs.

The Assistant Property Manager will work with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property. Strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit experience are essential. You'll provide customer service to residents and visitors, and take the initiative and provide direction to staff. Work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams and coordinate resident engagement and events.

This is an on-site position. Evergreen Ridge is an affordable housing apartment community in Bellingham.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hour, dependent on experience.

Part-time; 32 hours per week with full-time benefits.
