Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in the efficient operation of a senior affordable housing community.

You will handle daily administrative tasks, assist residents, and ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programs while helping manage leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in property management or related field is a plus.
• Experience in property management, preferably affordable housing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with property management software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 housing regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day property operations to ensure smooth and efficient running.
• Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Assist in leasing activities, including showing units, processing applications, and background checks.
• Help manage rent collections, enforce lease terms, and address delinquencies.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, financial transactions, and property maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations (HUD/LIHTC/Section 8).
• Prepare regular occupancy, financial, and other relevant reports; support budget preparation and financial planning.
