Description
As an Assistant Property Manager, you support managing a multifamily property in various areas, including leasing oversight, maintenance oversight, administrative functions, and operational reporting.
The How…
Using your two-plus years of multifamily property management experience, you will work with a Property Manager or Area Manager to manage a team of leasing and maintenance professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our residents, employees, and vendors.
You will use your experience with multifamily property management software such as AMSI and Entrata to drive revenue and ensure competitive rental rates at leasing and accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and timely rent collection each month.
Your keen eye for detail is essential for prioritizing work and ensuring that the property always looks its best and operates at its peak.
You aren’t afraid to engage in difficult conversations with employees and residents, hearing their concerns and issues and seeking to understand and find a resolution; this may mean escalating concerns promptly to your supervisor for further review.

The Details…
- You will work full-time, generally on the busiest days of the week, including Fridays and Saturdays weekly (and at least one Sunday a month) and on Holidays, during peak business hours, including at least one closing shift weekly
- During high-traffic holiday periods, the position is scheduled according to Company standards; the supervisor must approve schedules

New employees accrue 40 vacation hours in the first year and earn paid sick leave per state requirements. - The Company provides at least 40 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year in states with no state mandate. To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must have completed 90 days of employment and worked the last scheduled day before and the first day after the holiday.

- Has a natural disposition for sales and understands sales techniques and processes

Education and Experience
- Must have obtained or be pursuing an associate or undergraduate degree(s) and/or have equivalent work experience working in large multifamily real estate properties
- A minimum of 2 years of residential property management experience with a proven track record in leasing or sales plus at least 1 year of supervising two or more employees
- Proficient computer skills, including using Microsoft Office products in an office environment
- Familiarity with general business and accounting concepts; ability to read, understand, and develop financial statements; high-school level mathematical proficiency
- Valid driver’s license to operate company-owned vehicles or personal vehicle for work
Physical Requirements
- Expected work hours include Fridays, Saturdays, at least one Sunday a month, and holidays during peak hours, with schedule approval by supervisor.
- Occasional driving for business purposes.
- Work environment involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds, in various weather conditions.
