Job Details

Title: Assistant Property Manager/Leasing Agent

Division: 4

Department: Support Staff

Reports To: Property Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary

Responsible for processing rental applications, showing apartments to prospective tenants, and performing various marketing and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Escort prospective tenants through the complex, explain all facets, and provide demographic information.
  2. Process rental applications by verifying tenant data such as employment, income, and rental history.
  3. Submit rental applications to management for approval.
  4. Inform applicants of application status and schedule move-ins.
  5. Respond to inquiries via multi-line telephone or escalate to management.
  6. Perform clerical duties like data entry, filing, and rent calculations.
  7. Translate tenant information for lease preparation.
  8. Generate leads through marketing efforts.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise employees in the Property Manager Department, including training, assigning work, performance appraisal, and handling complaints.

Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in math, including calculations of rates and percentages.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Rent Manager.
  • High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Driver's license.
