Monday-Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Weekends as needed

Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager I provides leadership, work direction, and support to onsite Leasing Consultants. In partnership with the Property Manager, this position sets strategic direction for the leasing team to achieve company goals. Responsibilities include collections, resident relations, maintenance, and compliance with safety programs, laws, and policies.
Essential Job Duties
- Supervise property employees, including coaching, development, and training of leasing staff.
- Oversee leasing activity to maximize property occupancy.
- Manage move-in and move-out processes, including scheduling, inspections, and work coordination.
- Qualify prospective renters by reviewing rental and credit histories.
- Assist with rent collection and delinquency notices.
- Handle administrative tasks, invoices, and paperwork.
- Promote safety and comply with safety requirements.
- Conduct market research and gather rental data.
- Assist in planning resident events and participate in functions.
- Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly.
- Coordinate maintenance work orders and ensure satisfactory repairs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role.
- Leasing experience of at least one year.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi experience preferred.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, and work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and local housing provisions.
- Real Estate Licenses must not be active while working in this role.
