Progressive Property Management Company is looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Property Manager to work 40 hours/week alongside a full-time leasing consultant for a two-property portfolio in Columbus, IN with a total of 200+ units.
Duties Include:
- Receipt all resident rent payments into bank account and property management software.
- Issue all late notices and contact residents who do not pay rent.
- Complete paperwork for filing evictions for non-payment.
- Complete leasing commission spreadsheets for review by supervisor.
- Perform ledger maintenance on all files as needed.
- Maintain tenant lease folders.
- Walk Move-Outs and complete Final Account Statements for supervisor review.
- Complete renewal process from Start to Finish.
- Assist with accounts payable duties.
- Meet with residents to resolve payment/recording issues
- Assist Executive Property Manager in overseeing leasing and maintenance staff.
- Complete monthly market surveys.
- Ensure confidentiality of all data in the resident files (i.e., income, credit reports, assets, etc.).
- Provide information and reports in coordination with other management company departments as needed.
- Update all websites/social media for the properties.
- Assist your supervisor in managing a renovation program.
- Assist the leasing consultant leasing apartments, resolving resident issues, approving applications, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
- Above average verbal, math and writing skills.
- Experience in sales, public relations and customer service. Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of two years of previous administrative, leasing, marketing and sales experience in residential property management.
- A willingness to follow directions, learn and work within a group environment; be a team player.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook at a minimum.
- Property management software experience - OneSite by Real Page preferred but not required.
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate well with residents regarding payment issues using exceptional listening and conflict resolution skills.
- Driver's license and reliable transportation; some travel will be needed to show apartments and for marketing purposes.
- Impeccable presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be organized, prepared, and be able to overcome prospect’s objections.
