What You’ll Do:

As the Assistant Property Manager, you’ll act as second in command at your assigned community, contributing to leasing production and ensuring the property operates at peak performance. You’ll play a key role in team collaboration, financial oversight, and providing exceptional resident experiences. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Property Manager.

Our location puts you in the heart of it all; less than 5 minutes from The Ohio State University with endless retail, dining, and entertainment options along Bethel and Henderson Road.

What You’ll Own:

• Contribute to all aspects of the leasing process to meet and exceed goals, including:
• Entering leads into Entrata, contacting, and following up.
• Greeting prospects, conducting tours, closing leases, and overseeing applications and screenings.
• Monitoring and supporting resident renewal efforts.
• Maintaining the clubhouse, model units, and tour routes to high standards.
• Develop a deep understanding of the property’s features and market positioning to communicate value effectively and address objections.
• Support and guide the leasing team by setting clear expectations and providing necessary resources.
• Regularly assess the competitive landscape by shopping competitors and updating market records.
• Address escalated resident concerns professionally and with care.
• Assist marketing efforts and resident events to attract and retain residents.
• Ensure timely collection and accurate posting of rental and vendor payments to maintain financial health.
• Manage delinquent accounts, including sending late notices, contacting residents and guarantors, and filing evictions if needed.
• Assist the Property Manager with financial reports and closing financial books.
• Act as Property Manager in their absence, ensuring policy adherence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to obtain required licenses/certifications.
• Experience in leasing and sales; Leasing Manager experience preferred.
• Familiarity with multifamily housing, especially conventional or student housing.
• Proficiency with property management software like OneSite, Entrata, or RealPage products.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to participate in emergency duties as needed.
