Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of a $90M university construction project in the Montclair area of North Jersey. The role reports to a Senior Project Manager and offers exposure to preconstruction, procurement, construction, turnover and closeout on an at-risk/lump-sum assignment.

You will coordinate with field crews, subcontractors and internal teams, assist with scheduling, cost tracking and documentation, and help ensure on-time, on-budget project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience on lump-sum and/or at-risk projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Experience with cost control, scheduling, and subcontract coordination.
• Clear communication and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to work between site and Piscataway office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Project Manager with day-to-day delivery.
• Assist with procurement, buyout, commitments, cost tracking.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders and payment applications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and field personnel.
• Assist with project schedules, look-aheads, milestone tracking and planning.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and minutes.
• Work with Superintendent on sequencing, logistics, quality and coordination.
• Assist with change management and closeout activities.
