Job summary

BLUROC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support renewable energy civil and infrastructure projects in the Chatham area. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will help maintain project documentation, track progress, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Occasional site visits and travel may be required, with a focus on safety and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project management within civil construction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera, Procore, and Viewpoint.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing project schedules, resource plans, and work breakdown structures.
• Leads daily and weekly progress tracking, ensuring milestones are met.
• Supports contract administration including RFIs, notifications, and pay applications.
• Leads issuance of purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Reviews invoices, POs, and change orders.
• Supports cost tracking against project budgets and identifies variances.
• Coordinates subcontractor mobilization, safety compliance, and daily reporting.
• Maintains communication logs and follows up on outstanding actions and deliverables.
• Prepares meeting minutes, daily/weekly reports, and project documentation as needed.
• Ensures quality control checklists and safety records are updated.
• Conducts site walks with the Project Manager and construction leads.
