Job summary

Cumming Group in San Francisco, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a local community college project. You will help keep the program on schedule, assist with design, bid, and various project phases, and gain exposure to DSA processes in a public sector setting.

The role is ideal for someone early in their career. You will work under the Project Manager, coordinate with stakeholders, and develop skills in schedule management, QA/QC, and field reporting.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction management.
• Previous California K-12 DSA or public works project experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with scheduling, scope review, and budget tracking.
• Support design, bid, and project phases including addenda/bid processes.
• Facilitate pre-bid and job start meetings and monitor contract compliance.
• Prepare field reports and assist with closeout and occupancy activities.
• Review RFIs and submittals for completeness and alignment with standards.
