Job summary

Cumming Group in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee university construction projects for a public higher education client. You will lead design and construction, manage budgets, schedules, and coordination with inspectors and regulatory agencies.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, 10+ years of PM experience, and familiarity with CSU processes or public works.

Qualifications

• Ten years of project management experience in construction or engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with design-bid-build and public works preferred.
• Knowledge of CSU processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction processes across the project lifecycle.
• Lead scope development, contracting, and construction administration.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and monthly cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate with IOR, Fire Marshal, and regulatory agencies for inspections.
