Job summary

Cumming Group in San Francisco, CA seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support a local college client on DSA projects. This is an early-career role within a fast-growing Project and Cost Management consultancy, offering exposure to public sector processes and a dynamic campus environment.

You will assist the Project Manager with scheduling, value engineering, bid reviews, and field reporting, while developing skills in CPM scheduling and budget management.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field
• Experience: 3+ years in Project Management, engineering, or construction management
• Previous CA K-12 DSA or public works project experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with scheduling, cost control, and document management.
• Assist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase scheduling.
• Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
• Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
• Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.
• Perform QA/QC process.
• Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.
• Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.
• Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
• Review and maintain As Built drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during normal business hours.
