Job summary

Cumming Group in San Francisco, CA seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support a local college client on DSA projects. You will work with the Project Manager to keep schedules, documents, and approvals moving in a public-sector environment, gaining exposure to field and office processes.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in PM/engineering/construction management and a BS in CM or related field. Calif. K-12 DSA/public works experience is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in CM or related field and 3+ years PM/engineering experience.
• Experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.
• Previous California K-12 DSA or public works project experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution.
• Assist in formulating design, bid, and project phase scheduling.
• Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
• Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies and document.
• Conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
• Prepare field reports for review by Project Manager.
• Perform QA/QC process.
• Review change orders for completeness and conformance to standards.
• Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.
• Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
• Review and maintain As Built drawings.
