Job summary

The Burt Group, Inc. in Austin seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager to be at the center of our projects. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep schedules tight, documentation accurate, and teams aligned from kickoff through closeout.

As you grow, you’ll mentor junior team members, manage daily project activities in Procore, and support meetings, cost tracking, and owner pay apps to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Strong communicator across all levels of a project team.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Sage 100.
  • A fast learner who is comfortable picking up new tools and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily project activities across scheduling, documentation, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change orders.
  • Attend and support construction and financial meetings, manage projects in Procore, and help maintain committed costs and owner pay apps monthly.
  • Mentor newer Project Engineers on the team as you grow into the role.
