Job summary

The Burt Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager in Chicago to join a high-performing team where you’ll have ownership over your work and a clear path to grow into a Project Manager role. You’ll work closely with our Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects moving, documentation tight, and teams aligned from kickoff to closeout.

You’ll coordinate daily activities across scheduling, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change orders, manage projects in Procore,

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
Strong communicator across all levels of a project team.
Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Sage 100.
A fast learner who is comfortable picking up new tools and systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily project activities across scheduling, documentation, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change orders.
Attend and support construction and financial meetings, manage projects in Procore, and help maintain committed costs and owner pay apps on a monthly basis.
As you grow into the role, you'll also mentor newer Project Engineers on the team.
