Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a high-profile life sciences project in Foster City, CA. The role focuses on on-site coordination with a strong MEP foundation and the growth of an early-career construction professional within ownership representation.

You will work under the Project Manager to assist with scheduling, QA/QC, documentation, and coordination with government agencies, ensuring project milestones are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP-related engineering.
2+ years of experience supporting construction projects, ideally in life sciences or similarly complex environments.
Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction processes, and project documentation.
Ability to work onsite in Foster City, CA.

Responsibilities

Assist the project management team with constructability reviews, value engineering, pay apps, and scheduling.
Help formulate design, bid, and project phase scheduling.
Assist in addenda and bid processes and conduct pre-bid meetings.
Monitor contract compliance and prepare site meeting minutes.
Support QA/QC, change order reviews, RFIs/submittals, and As-Built drawings.
