Job summary

Lennar is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide comprehensive administrative and project management support for construction projects, customer care, and quality assurance. You will coordinate interdepartmental activities, oversee administrative tasks, assist with planning, and support development goals.

Regular in-person work at community sites is expected; the role requires 1+ years in homebuilding or related fields, proficiency with MS Office, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in homebuilding, land development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative functions including task distribution and scheduling. Supervise and coordinate with administrative assistants across departments.
  • Prepare, review, and archive essential documents, including operational, legal, and project papers; ensure retention policy compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and contract management for community development projects; help with permits and approvals.
  • Coordinate between Marketing, Sales, Accounting, and Land Development; ensure effective cross-team communication.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate operational and project meetings; manage community and trade show participation.
  • Prepare and submit reports on home starts, completions, purchase orders, and other data; maintain project data.
  • Assist with plan approvals, permits and regulatory compliance; liaise with agencies.
  • Monitor project progress including utility management, budgets, and timelines.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
  • Oversee administrative functions including distribution of tasks, scheduling meetings, and managing operational reports. Supervise and coordinate with administrative assistants across departments.
  • Prepare, review, and archive essential documents, including operational, legal, and project-related paperwork. Ensure compliance with document retention policies.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and contract management for community development projects. Support in obtaining permits, approvals, and handling project documentation.
  • Facilitate coordination between departments such as Marketing, Sales, Accounting, and Land Development. Ensure effective communication and support across teams.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate operational and project-related meetings and events. Manage community and trade show participation.
  • Prepare and submit reports on home starts, completions, purchase orders and other relevant data. Maintain and update project and operational data.
  • Assist with plan approvals, permits and regulatory compliance. Represent the company in public hearings and liaise with agencies.
  • Monitor project progress, including utility management, bond exoneration, and HOA transitions. Track project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide support for special projects as assigned by department heads or project managers. Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in homebuilding, land development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Valid driver's license and professional demeanor.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 25 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:
  • We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $29.67 - $47, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
  • This position may be eligible for bonuses.
  • This position may be eligible for commissions.
  • This position will be eligible for the described benefits listed in the above section in accordance with Company Policy.
